ILOILO City – The Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) on Thursday, Dec. 22, approved Supplemental Budget No. 6 amounting to P178.5 million for the regular city government employees’ service recognition incentive (SRI).
Each regular employee will get P20,000 SRI and 25 kilos one-time rice assistance.
Job hires and contract of service employees will also receive 25 kilos of rice.
The city government has 1,859 regular employees and 4,900 job hires and contract of service employees.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. earlier issued administrative orders (AOs) granting SRI to employees of the executive department and one-time rice allowance for all government personnel for this year.
Under the President’s order, personnel of local government units (LGUs), including those in the villages, may also receive the incentive depending on the local governments’ financial capability, subject to limitations in their respective budgets under the Local Government Code of 1991./PN
