ILOILO – The Calinog Municipal Police Station (MPS) already has a lead in the killing of a 42-year-old man in Barangay Poblacion Rizal Ilawod, Calinog, on Christmas day.
The victim, George Bernabe, wsa a resident of Barangay Bario, Calinog. A basketball coach and businessman, he suffered a fatal gunshot wound at the back of his head.
A bullet slug was recovered by authorities from the crime scene.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspects were riding a motorcycle while wearing a jacket and helmet.
Police Major Dadje Delima, chief of the Calinog MPS, said they have some information on the suspects obtained from the victim’s friends and relatives.
They are currently following three angles.
The police is also tracking footages from closed-circuit television around the area./PN
