BACOLOD City – Vendors here were warned against displaying their merchandize on the streets along Libertad, Central and Burgos public markets. These would be confiscated.
The city government’s Integrated City Enforcement Team (ICET) is conducting clearing operations.
The team was at the Libertad Public Market along the streets of Amelia, Hernaez and Mabini yesterday.
“Wala na ginatugutan sang syudad ang mga vendors sa Libertad market sumugod subong nga adlaw (Jan. 2) nga magbaligya sa higad sang dalan kay may mga designated areas na ang mga ini nga gin-assign ang syudad sa sulod sang merkado,” said Rey Demisana, ICET head.
Their next schedule is the Central Public Market, then Burgos market.
Also a part of the operation is the implementation of the “no parking rule” in the said areas and on major city streets in coordination with the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office.
Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez instructed the City Legal Office to observe zero tolerance on illegal parking and ambulant vendors./PN
