BACOLOD City – Commanders of the Philippine Army in Western Visayas were reshuffled.
Lieutenant General Benedict Arevalo, commanding general of the 3rd Infantry Division (3ID), said 303rd Infantry Brigade (303IBde) commander, Colonel Michael Samson, has been relieved from his post and transferred to the 301st Infantry Brigade (301IBde) based in Dingle, Iloilo.
Replacing Samson as the head of the 303IBde is the brigade’s former deputy commander, Colonel Orlando Edralin. He was a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy “Sambisig” Class of 1991.
Meanwhile, Samson is currently being eyed to take command of the 301IBde.
He only held the position of 303IBde commander for a month following the retirement of his predecessor, Brigadier General Inocencio Pasaporte./PN
