BACOLOD City – The provincial government of Negros Occidental renewed the employment of 900 job order (JO) and 700 contract of service (CoS) workers.

However, the contracts of around 20 CoS personnel were not renewed due to poor performance, said Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz.

JOs will have a daily rate of P418, while CoS workers’ rates will depend on the position they are holding.

Diaz added that the renewal of contracts for JOs and CoS workers was far easier and faster now, thanks to the provincial government’s Personal Information System (PIS).

He pointed out that prior to the implementation of the PIS, the renewal of JOs and CoS was longer, taking weeks and even as long as three months before they could start working for the capitol./PN
