BACOLOD City – A sugar planter who just encashed his quedan worth P500,000 was shot dead in Barangay Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
Victim Saturnino Suprales, 55, of Barangay Montilla, Moises Padilla, was on his way home with the money. He was riding his motorcycle from a sugar central in La Carlota City.
Police investigation revealed that at about 10:15 a.m. on Feb. 17, a silver-grey Toyota Innova without a plate number blocked the victim’s way. Two persons alighted, shot him several times and took his bag containing the money.
A witness said Suprales attempted to fight back.
Auhorities recovered six empty shells from a .45 pistol.
