ILOILO City – A high-value drug suspect yielded over P1 million worth of suspected shabu in a drug buy-bust operation in Zone 3, Megaworld Village, Barangay Lanit, Jaro district.
The 43-year-old suspect Praud Joan Animas was a resident of the aforementioned barangay.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr. arrested Animas around 12:50 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, after handing over three plastic sachets to a poseur buyer in exchange for P50,000.

CDEU confiscated a total of 150 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P1,020,000.
Police Colonel Joresty Coronica, officer-in-charge of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), said they received information that the supply came from Negros Occidental and was transported to this city through a roll-on/roll-off vessel.
