ILOILO City – Five beauties from Western Visayas made it to the top 40 official candidates of the Miss Universe Philippines 2023.
They are:
* Chloei Darl Gabales (Iloilo City),
* Vanessa Tse Wing (Guimaras),
* Avery Mariane Sucgang (Aklan),
* Jan Mari Bordon (Bacolod City), and
* Shayne Glenmae Maquiran (Capiz).
Gabales was the Miss Iloilo 2023 first runner-up while Tse Wing was crowned Miss Paraw Regatta Festival 2016.
Sucgang, on the other hand, was crowned Bb. Kalibo Ati-Atihan 2023, Bordon won Miss Bacolod MassKara – International and Maquiran was Mutya ng Capiz 2017 and Miss West Visayas State University 2018.
The top 40 candidates were announced by the Miss Universe Philippines organization through its official Facebook page on Saturday, Feb. 18.
The winner of this year’s edition of Miss Universe Philippines will succeed current titleholder Celeste Cortesi and will represent the country to the Miss Universe 2023 pageant in El Salvador./PN
