ROXAS City – Seven persons were arrested in an alleged drug den at a lodging house on Legazpi Street, Barangay 4, Roxas City.
The suspects were Richelle Barredo, 39, of Barangay Dulangan, Pilar, Capiz; Malph Ullang, 28, of Barangay Pawa, Panay, Capiz; and Carmelo Fritz Villareal, 18, of Malipayon Village, Tiza; Teddy Berico, 40, of Barangay Banica; Nicole Bienes, 19, of Barangay Punta Tabuc; Stephen Mendoza, 37, of Barangay Talon, and Jennyrose Alagon, 19, of Barangay Dinginan, all from Roxas City.
They yielded eight plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 15 grams, valued at P102,000.
The anti-drug operation was carried out by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)–Capiz and Regional Special Enforcement Team Alpha of PDEA-6 around 7:25 p.m. on Feb. 20.
This was the second time that the operatives raided the lodging house.
The suspects are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002. (With report from RMN-Roxas City)/PN
