ILOILO City – The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) stopped issuing local police clearances for job applicants effective Wednesday, Feb. 22.
It clarified, however, that releasing of national police clearance will continue in three city police stations: Iloilo City Police Station 1 (City Proper), Iloilo City Police Station 3 (Jaro) and Iloilo City Police Station 5 (Mandurriao).
Police Major Shella Mae Sangrines, ICPO spokesperson, said processing the national police clearance is now easier; it can be obtained within a few minutes if there is no problem in the system.
“Bisan diin lang nga police station nga may ara (releasing) sang national police clearance pwede kita kakadto kag kakuha. Mas maayo nga magdala lang sang duha ka mga valid IDs para magamit naton kay that is part of the requirements,” said Sangrines.
Sangrines further stated that the processing of national police clearance can be through an online platform. The P160 processing fee can be paid via Landbank iAccess; in paying through different payment centers there will be an additional P10 convenience fee.
Those who want to apply for national police clearance should bring any two of the following government-issued IDs:
* Philippine passport
* driver’s license
* Social Security System card
* Government Service Insurance System card
* Unified Multi-Purpose Identification card
* Professional Regulation Commission ID
* Overseas Workers Welfare Administration ID
* Bureau of Internal Revenue
* senior citizen’s ID card
* postal ID
* voter’s ID
* overseas Filipino worker ID
* diplomat ID
* Integrated Bar of the Philippines ID
“Kung mga minor de edad ang makuha sang clearance, ang birth certificate nila pwede dal-on. Sa first time applicants, especially sa bag-ong graduate, libre na siya, may ara ina sa system. Ang aton senior citizens may ara man ina discount,” Sangrines added./PN
