ILOILO City – Four persons were arrested in an alleged drug den in Barangay Seminario, Jaro district around 7:35 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Special Enforcement Team, PDEA-Iloilo and Iloilo City Police Station 3 seized P122,400 worth of suspected shabu.
The arrested suspects were Scott Michael Hipona Jimena, 25, of Barangay Seminario, and the alleged drug den maintainer; Sanny G. Lanaria, 44, of Barangay Seminario; Eugene G. Fernandez, 47, of Barangay Aguinaldo, La Paz; and Ivan Paitone, 35, of Barangay Manhoy, Dao, Capiz.
A police poseur buyer bought from them a sachet of suspected shabu for P35,000.
The operation also yielded 12 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 18 grams.
The suspects face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
