ILOILO City – A total of P374,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sooc, Arevalo around 12:50 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25.
Peter Paul Galaraga, 32, of Barangay San Antonio, Oton, Iloilo, was a high-value suspect.
Operatives of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO)-City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and ICPO-Police Station 6 (Arevalo) recovered a total of 11 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 55 grams.
CDEU chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr. said they monitored Galaraga for almost five months.
The suspect is now in the custody of the Arevalo police and will face a charge for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
