Palomo reports to PRO-6

ILOILO City – The new director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) reported to the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) yesterday while waiting for the turnover ceremony.

Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco, PRO-6 director, confirmed he received a special order from the national headquarters in Camp Crame regarding the appointment of Police Colonel Ronaldo Palomo as new IPPO director replacing Police Colonel Noel Aliño who has only been serving as director in an acting capacity since October 2022.

Nag-report na siya (Palomo) dito sa PRO-6 and I had already received the order and it will be forwarded to Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. For the meantime, standby muna siya then mag-courtesy call kay governor,” said Francisco.

Special order NHQ-SO-URA-2023-1613 was signed by Police Major General Robert Rodriguez, the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) chief of the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management based in Camp Crame.

Passi City native Palomo told Panay News yesterday he is ready to work and vowed to do his best to maintain peace and order in the province.

“Himuon naton ang tanan nga mangin maayo ang Iloilo province” he said.

Palomo was chosen by Defensor from a list of three nominees prepared by the PNP. The two others were Aliño and Police Colonel Gervacio Balmaceda, former chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Region 6./PN
