5 busted, over P500K ‘shabu’ seized in NegOcc

BACOLOD City – Five drug suspects were arrested and more than P500,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in two separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental on Wednesday, March 1.

At around 9 p.m. in Hacienda Sta. Ana, Barangay Palampas, San Carlos City, local police apprehended Herfrance Tuhao, 21, and his minor girlfriend.

Tuhao was a high-value suspect.

Authorities recovered 18 plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 63.5 grams valued at P431,868 and P1,000 buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, in Barangay 6, Victorias City, around 1:42 p.m., suspects Jerry Magallanes, 44; Loremae Combate, 36; and Daniel Isuga, 18; all residents of the said place were arrested.

They yielded 17 sachets, weighing an estimated 20 grams, of suspected shabu valued at P136,000.

The five suspects were being held at their respective local police stations.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were filed against them./PN
