PAROKYA ni Edgar memorabilia used by the late master rapper Francis Magalona will be up for bidding to help raise funds for their guitarist Gab Chee Kee’s medical expenses.

In his post on March 1, Chito Miranda shared the news he received from the Magalona family, who were more than happy to help with their fundraising efforts for Gab’s hospital bills. Francis’s wife Pia also gave her permission to allow him to auction off the item for Gab’s expenses.

He wrote, “Tingnan nyo kung ano ‘yung nahanap namin. ‘Yung polo ni Sir Kiko sa bagsakan.

“Honestly, ‘di na ‘ko umaasa na mahahanap pa namin ‘yung pangatlong polo…pero nagbakasakali ako, at nag-message ako kay Saab Magalona.

“After a few days, she sent me this photo…nahanap nila ‘yung polo and pumayag si Ma’am Pia ipa-auction ‘yung polo ni Sir Kiko for Gab!!!”

It was in January when Chito first broke the news that Gab had been hospitalized and admitted to the intensive care unit as he battled a lymphoma-induced pneumonia.

“Despite his situation, he was relatively doing ok, and thought it would be best not to let everyone know what he was going through, because he didn’t want anyone worrying about him. So he continued playing with Parokya. But soon after, he was advised by his doctor not to play gigs muna para makapag-pahinga,” he wrote.

Gab has now been transferred into a regular room in the hospital and his band is hopeful he will be discharged soon. (PUSH)
