MISS Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach continues to show support for her sister, Sarah Wurtzbach, who has been coping with her mental health struggles.
The former beauty queen reposted in her Instagram Stories the short video that her sister posted on her account.
Sarah opened up about her mental health struggles to the public back in 2020. The two went through a rough patch in their relationship back in 2020 after Sarah previously accused Pia of being unsupportive towards her – both emotionally and financially.
Pia wrote how proud she was of her younger sister for dealing with her mental health struggles healthily. The beauty queen-actress urged her followers on Instagram to share a helping hand to those who have the same problems as Sarah.
“So proud of my sister for her progress [in] her mental health. If you have a family member or a friend who is coping with depression, anxiety and/or PTSD. Don’t Give up on them, please. My sister is an example of somebody who is recovering & doing it the healthy way. I’m so proud of her,” she wrote.
The Instagram Reel that Sarah posted showed the progress she made after she opened up about her journey three years ago. She showed snippets of the changes in her body, some news articles, and the progress she has already made.
“It’s been a long road and how rough it has been. But I am so proud that I have come so far from when it all started. I opened [the] Pandora’s box back in late 2020 and my life has changed since,” Sarah shared.
She added it took a lot of time and healing for her to get back to normality due to her post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) kicking in and anxiety reaching an all-time high.
“I can’t say that I’m at the end of the road, but I can definitely hold my head up high and say that I’m proud of myself,” she remarked.
The siblings made headlines back in 2020 after Sarah shared a series of controversial posts about her relationship with her sister.
The two have reconciled with one another since the incident and are sharing some of their family bonding moments on their social media accounts. (PUSH)
