ILOILO City – The No. 1 most wanted person in Western Visayas was arrested yesterday in Barangay Del-car, Maasin, Iloilo after a year of hiding.
The 18-year-old Chrismar Modina, a resident of the town’s Barangay Mandog, was charged with rape, said Police Captain Jason Musig, chief of the Maasin police station.
Joint operatives of the Police Regional Office 6’s Regional Intelligence Division (RID) and Iloilo Police Provincial Office arrested Modina around 12 noon through an arrest warrant issued by Judge Redentor Eugenio Esperanza of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 76.
Modina was detained at the Maasin police station. No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Police Colonel Reynante Panay, RID chief, said they are running after most wanted persons in the regional or provincial level.
