NegOcc monitors slight price hike in pork, goat meat

BACOLOD City – The Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) of Negros Occidental monitored a slight increase in the prices of pork and goat meat.

The price of pork increased by P1.54 per kilogram while the price of goat meat rose by P2.33 per kilogram, PVO said.

Carabao meat or carabeef, meanwhile, is currently being sold in the cities of Sagay, Cadiz and Kabankalan at P390 per kilogram, while the lowest price was sold in Don Salvador Benedicto town at P190 per kilogram.

Moreover, beef is sold at P420 per kilogram in Escalante City. The lowest price for beef was in the towns of E.B. Magalona and Pulupandan at P290 per kilogram.

In San Carlos City, pork is being sold at P310 per kilogram while the lowest price is recorded in Talisay City at P255 per kilogram.

For eggs, average prices are P7.60 for small, P8.15 for medium, P8.86 for large, and P9.67 for extra large./PN
