ILOILO City – Seven hundred Ilonggos from Barotac Viejo, Banate and San Rafael towns in the 5th District of Iloilo province benefitted from the recent joint medical and dental mission of the BDO Network Bank (BDONB) and SM Foundation, Inc.
The activity was part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of BDONB and Iloilo was one of the first beneficiary provinces, said Nielex Tupas, head of BDONB Community Relations and CSR lead.
“As the BDONB head of Community Relations as well as lead of our CSR, I am happy that we are of service to hundreds and hundreds or even a thousand Ilonggos who need health services,” said Tupas.
Among the services availed by the beneficiaries were free medical checkups and medicines, x-ray, ultrasound, and blood and urine testing.
Tupas acknowledged the support of the Barotac Viejo local government in the undertaking.
He also cited the Junior Chamber International (JCI)-Iloilo, JCI Senate Iloilo and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Iloilo, MX3, and Jorque Pharmacy for their support.
“Salamat sa tanan nga doctors, dentists, nurses, BHWs (barangay health workers), organizers, and those who assisted us to make this event very successful. Special mention to our BDONB BH Chenny Pacity for doing the legwork,” Tupas said./PN
