ILOILO City – A 39-year-old woman was found dead inside a room of a motel in Mandurriao district on Saturday morning, April 1.
Christine Gabayeron, a resident of Concepcion, Iloilo, sustained stab wounds on her face, neck and chest, said Police Lieutenant Joebert Amado, chief of the Mandurriao police station.
Investigation revealed that an unidentified man got out of Room 111. When the room attendant asked him if they were already checking out, the latter replied that Gabayeron was still taking a bath, Amado said.
Minutes later the room attendant checked on the said room but no one answered. The motel management decided to open the door and they found the victim lying dead on the floor.
As of this writing, police have yet to identify the suspect who fled. Investigation is still ongoing./PN
