ILOILO – A rice mill worker died after his head accidentally got caught inside a milling machine in Barangay Tolarucan, Mina town on Saturday, April 1.
The 35-year-old Allan Mabuyao, a resident of Barangay Guadalupe, Janiuay town, was declared dead-on-arrival in a hospital.
Police Captain Rogie Panela, chief of the Mina Municipal Police Station (MPS), said Mabuyao was fixing the milling machine of the RPG Rice Mill when it started functioning.
The machine first caught the victim’s t-shirt that was covering his head.
“Wala na ‘ni panit ang ulo niya bala. Kung ma-imagine mo ginkaon ini ang t-shirt nga ginaputos sa ulo mo, siyempre ulo mo gid matam-an, amo ini ang natabu. Gin-declare ini nga patay bangod sa patal niya nga pilas sa ulo. Severe body and head injuries gid ni abi ang naagom niya,” said Panela.
Mina police ruled out foul play in the incident./PN
