DINA Bonnevie has a good relationship with Kristine Hermosa, the wife of her son Oyo Sotto.
The veteran actress initially thought they would clash, but seeing the way Kristine has become a devoted wife to Oyo and a hands-on mom to their five children, Dina has nothing but praises for her daughter-in-law.
In Ogie Diaz’s YouTube vlog, Dina said, “Akala ko nga baka may time na mag-aaway kami, never. Kasi si Tin, sobrang, alam mo, ganito siya, hands-on siya sa anak niya. Sila ni Oyo.”
Family is one of the reasons Kristine decided to set aside her acting career.
Dina actually asked if she’s open to making a showbiz comeback, and even encouraged the 39-year-old mom to join Miss Universe Philippines.
“‘Tin, ba’t ayaw mong mag-artista ulit? Sayang, like now, she’s so thin. Sobrang slim, ang ganda-ganda niya. Sabi ko, ‘Yung Miss Universe ngayon, puwede nang sumali kahit may asawa, Bakit hindi ka sumali?’”
It can be recalled that in November 2022, Miss Universe Philippines decided to allow “widow, divorced, married to join pageant.”
Back to Dina’s question to Kristine, the latter replied, “Hindi na, Ma.”
When asked why, she told her mother-in-law, “Masaya na ako nang ganito. Masaya na kami ni Oyo nang ganito lang.”
But Kristine is not totally turning her back on showbiz.
Dina revealed her manugang’s dream project: to work in a TV series with her, Oyo, or Danica.
Oyo and Danica are Dina’s kids with ex-husband Vic Sotto. (Pep.ph)
