Grade 11 student yields ‘marijuana’

BACOLOD City – A Grade 11 student was arrested for possessing marijuana within the school premises in Barangay 12, Talisay City, Negros Occidental yesterday morning, May 9.

Police identified the 18-year-old student as Dennis Casiple of Sugar Valley Subdivision in Barangay E. Lizares, Talisay City.

A teacher and a security guard of the Rafael B. Lacson Memorial High School found dried marijuana leaves in a yellow pad of paper from Casiple during a routine inspection, according to the Talisay City police.

An improvised tooter was also recovered.

The student is facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
