BACOLOD City – Twelve individuals ended up in local police stations for illegal cockfighting in in Negros Occidental on Saturday, May 13.
The Bago City Police Station arrested eight persons around 2:35 p.m. and seized six fighting cocks, a gaff and P460 in bet money.
In the town of Hinoba-an, meanwhile, police apprehended four men in Barangay Bacuyangan at around 1:20 p.m. and seized three fighting cocks and P520 in bet money.
All of the suspects will be facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449./PN
