BACOLOD City – A 28-year-old man was repeatedly hacked to death in Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Joerly Tumpag of Barangay Camalanda-an, Cauayan, was talking to his two neighbors at about 5:30 p.m. on May 15 when attacked.
The suspect was Dante Bensing, 45, also of Barangay Camalanda-an.
The hacking amputated Tumpag’s left leg.
Police said the victim tried to flee.
Bensing is being held at the Cauayan Municipal Police Station, facing a murder charge./PN
