Shabu supply still comes from Bakhaw – ICPO

ILOILO City – There are no more existing drug groups in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao district, only suppliers, according to Police Colonel Joeresty Coronica, director of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO).

Coronica said drug groups in Barangay Bakhaw have been dismantled.

“Sa latest naton nga monitoring wala na sang drug groups sa Bakhaw. Pero ang drug personalities nga ginakuhaan sang mga street-value targets taga-dira, amo na nga nagguwa nga source of drugs Bakhaw man gihapon. Individual na subong ang baligyaanay, wala na sang grupo,” Coronanica said.

On Tuesday at around 9 p.m., the 23-year-old John Kirry Dologmanding of Barangay Balantang, Jaro district was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Sto. Niño, Arevalo district. He claimed that his source of illegal drugs was Barangay Bakhaw, police said.

Police Captain Mavin Laraño, Arevalo police station chief, said the suspect yielded 15 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P102,000.

Police also recovered P20,000 in buy-bust money.

“I know there are other persons behind him,” Laraño told Panay News.

The suspect was detained at the Arevalo police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
