HEART Evangelista opened up about her life as a global luxury influencer.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, the actress and style icon shared the work that she does as a luxury influencer.
“Parang kang artista, it’s kinda like, I look at it as a character. Basically you work with different brands and they also tap you to promote the latest bags, shoes,” she explained.
“It depends with your rank, if you are just for social media or they invite you to [a] show, if you are in front row, if you can be a client or couture client or influencer, and an actress at the same time, even better.”
When asked how she achieved becoming a luxury influencer, Heart shared that it started years ago when she decided to go beyond the status quo.
“I think about six and seven years ago, I felt like I didn’t have any opportunities. I was tired with playing a character. I didn’t know what to do. I was bored with my life. I started to paint, because of painting I started to kinda inspire myself with the different colors of this world,” she relayed.
Heart also shared that she also began to travel and later on got exposed to the fashion industry.
Though she was not always seated at the front row at the beginning, Heart said that fate took part when she was initially navigating the fashion industry.
“I was not always in the front row but I was always at the right place and at the right time. And I met Kevin Kwan (Crazy Rich Asians author). I really owe a lot to him. Kevin Kwan in a sense launched me with the Harper’s Bazaar feature,” she said.
Heart was also asked how much a luxury influencer makes.
She explained that it really depends on the scope of work. “Per post, if IG reel lang ba, if posting lang ba, if may YouTube ba ‘yan, kung kasama ba sa equations sa ‘yung kikitain mo ‘yung video people or minus na ‘yun kasi ikaw na ang gagawa nun,” she relayed.
“Ready ka bang tumaya at magbayad ng music na may royalties or generic.. marami kailangan i-consider.”
Do the earnings reach million range? “It can be,” Heart replied. (PUSH)
