ROXAS City – This city, represented by Mayor Ronnie Dadivas, is among those taking part in the 3-day City Benchmarking on Public-Private Partnerships for Sustainable Development Goals in Seoul, Korea.
The event, spearheaded by CityNet and the Seoul Digital Foundation, opened on May 23. It was attended by mayors from different countries, such as Bangkok, Thailand, Jakarta, Indonesia, Kathmandu, Nepal, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Dadivas was invited to participate through the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP). He, along with Iloilo City’s Mayor Jerry Treñas and Tacurong City’s Mayor Joseph George L. Lechonsito, as well as Muntinlupa City, represented the Philippines.
“Nahatagan ako sang kahigayunan nga mapresentar ang mga ginapabugal sang aton syudad sa international community, mga programa kag proyekto nga mahimu makaganyat sa ila nga magkadto ukon mag-invest sa aton,” said Dadivas.
CityNet is the largest association of urban stakeholders committed to sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region.
Through capacity building, city-to-city cooperation and tangible projects, the association helps its members respond to climate change, disasters, the Sustainable Development Goals and rising infrastructure demands./PN
