ILOILO – A Philippine Army reservist was shot dead in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, San Enrique town around 10:25 p.m. on Wednesday.
Lino Palomar Jr., 29, of Barangay Arac, Passi City, Iloilo was shot on the head.
The suspect was Rio Calanao, 41, chief tanod of Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, San Enrique.
“Ang suspek nag-agi sa atubang sang lugar sang victim. Kay fiesta, ga-disco ni sila sa higad dalan. Daw may gamay nga argument asta natiruhan ang victim,” said Police Captain Johnny Oro of the San Enrique Municipal Police Station (MPS) in an interview with RMN Iloilo.
The suspect was still at large as of this writing.
“Indi pa naton ma-determine kun ano klase sang firearm ang gingamit. Padayon pa ang aton hot pursuit operation sa suspek matapos ini nagpalagyo dala ang armas luthang,” Oro added./PN
