Cops net P4.5-M ‘shabu’ in Bacolod

BACOLOD City – Operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 (RPDEU-6) and the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) confiscated 662 grams of suspected shabu valued at P4.5 million in two separate buy-bust operations.

In Barangay Banago at around 2:30 a.m. yesterday, operatives confiscated more than P1.781 million worth of suspected shabu from Malcomb Marshall, 24, of the said place.

On Wednesday, around 9:55 p.m. in Barangay 10, police apprehended suspects Jojo Segovia, 21, of Barangay 2, and Lijun Tayona, 35, of Barangay Pahanocoy. About P2.720 million worth of suspected shabu was recovered.

Police said Segovia and Marshall were both tagged as high-value suspects.

Marshall was held at Police Station 3, while Segovia and Tayona were detained at Police Station 2.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the suspects./PN
