THE daughters of Paolo Contis with his ex-wife Lian Paz want to drop their estranged father’s surname. This revelation comes after the former EB Babe dancer shared with her followers on Instagram the academic achievements her daughters received for this school year.
Paolo shares two kids with Lian – Xonia and Xalene.
In her post, Lian shared how proud she is of her eldest daughter who just finished her first year in high school. Apart from being the top of her class, Xonia was the overall top achiever of her grade level as well.
“Congratulations Our Dear Ate Xonia!!! My Nia2x! You ended your first year in high school as Top 1 in your class and overall Top achiever in your Grade level! You have always been consistent being excellent in school, I am amazed with your perseverance and I am grateful to God for that gift to you. Continue to honor the Lord in everything! I am proud of you Xonia! always have,” she wrote.
Netizens praised Lian and her partner, basketball player John Cabahug, for raising the two girls well. Netizens noticed as well in the post that Xonia and Xalene were still using Paolo’s name despite their parents being separated already.
“Bitbit pa apelyido wala naman ambag ahahaha anyway congrats.. you have long way to go.. Aim high,” a netizen commented.
The 35-year-old celebrity mom replied to the netizen and revealed that her daughters are already asking for their surnames to be changed.
“Asking na nga po ang mga bata to have it changed,” Lian replied.
Some netizens showed full support for the change in her daughters’ surname in the comment section. Others hoped that Xonia and Xalene would have John’s surname in the future.
