ILOILO City – For three months, this southern city will be the home of the cast and crew of the famous television series “Iron Heart”. They will do a series of shootings in several locations .
For Mayor Jerry P. Treñas, this is an opportunity to showcase the city.
“It’s a testament to our city’s rich heritage and vibrant community,” said Treñas. “We have a chance to highlight our breathtaking landscapes, historical landmarks, and diverse culture.”
Treñas assured the television series of the city government’s full support for a smooth and safe filming process.
According to City Tourism and Development Office (CTDO) head Junel Divinagracia, local businesses such as accommodation establishments and restaurants can benefit, too.
Stars of the TV series Jake Cuenca and Richard Guttierez were all praises for Iloilo City, she added.
“We can say that Mayor Jerry Treñas is successful in his campaign to beautify the city,” said Divinagracia.
She added that filmmakers prefer Iloilo City because it is more convenient here and they are happy with the Ilonggos’ “pag-amoma” or hospitality./PN
