ILOILO – A man was found dead in a nipa hut in Sitio Bulod, Barangay Pulao, Dumangas, Iloilo around 7:15 a.m. on Friday, June 30.
Allan Jhay Insular Adorador, 32, had stab wounds on his right chest and neck.
A a native of Barangay Binabaan, Lambunao, Iloilo, he was temporarily residing in Dumangas.
Florentino Flores, caretaker of the rice field where the nipa hut stood, made the grim discovery, according to Police Master Sergeant Ramon Baylon, Jr. of the Dumangas Municipal Police Station.
“Makuha tani ini [Flores] sang bike nga naka-park sa kamalig. Iya nakita nga naga siga pa ang bombilya, ginpatay niya ini kag magtamyaw ‘Bro, adlaw na wala ka pa kabugtaw’. Sang makita niya nga daw wala ga-response, iya gin-lili kag nakita niya nga duguon,” Baylon told Panay News.
The victim was last seen on Thursday night, around 6 p.m.
“A few months ago, may nakontra siya [Adorador] nga gina alegar may deperensiya sa paminsaron. Ginhalinan sadto sang argumento parte sa pagpangguba sa iya kamalig,” Baylon added.
Meanwhile, the victim’s uncle, Edward Insular, told Panay News that Adorador had been taking good care of his farm for more than a year.
“Wala na siya kuon abi nga nag tinunto kay siya gani ni gina paatipan ko sang project ko nga mga pantat, ang mga tanum kag utan napanghatagan niya gani mga tawo diri,” said Insular.
The police were still investigating but now have a person of interest./PN
