BCPO lobbies for addt’l police station

BY DOMINIQUE GABRIEL G. BAÑAGA

BACOLOD City – Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director Police Col. Noel Aliño is lobbying for an additional police station to bolster the campaign against criminality.

Aliño, in a radio interview over 96.7 XFM Bacolod yesterday morning, said he is proposing the creation of Police Station 11 to Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez as well as to the highest officials of the Philippine National Police.

He said this would be difficult for the BCPO to build alone as the proposed station would need funding.

In the meantime, Aliño said they have set up outposts with six police personnel each in various parts of the city.

At present, the BCPO has 10 police stations./PN
