ILOILO City – A village watchman is facing charges for violating Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Operatives confiscated unlicensed firearms and ammunition from Octavio Sales, 48, in Barangay Dapdapan, Sapian, Capiz.
A .38 pistol with seven live rounds, one homemade 5.56 revolver with 10 live rounds, and a 12-gauge homemade shotgun with five rounds were recovered.
Judge Judith Orendain-Tonogbanua of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 20 in Mambusao, Capiz, issued the search warrant dated July 3.
The operation was carried out through “Oplan Paglalansag Omega” by the Criminal Investigation and Detections Group-Capiz, Sapian Municipal Police Station and Highway Patrol Group-Capiz./PN
