P102K ‘shabu’ seized in Molo

ILOILO City – A 39-year-old freelance contractor and virtual assistant was arrested by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) in Zone 8, Barangay Calumpang, Molo at around 12:46 a.m. on Friday, July 7.

Jollan Pillora, married with three children, was a resident of Barangay M.H. del Pilar, Jaro, but temporarily resides in Molo district.

Four sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 15 grams and a standard drug price of P102,000 were recovered.

“Gin-monitor naton siya mga almost two weeks until nga mabaklan naton ni siya together with our poseur buyer,” said Police Captain Roque Gimeno lll, team leader of the CDEU, in an interview with Radyo Bandera Iloilo.

The police poseur buyer bought a sachet of suspected shabu from the suspect for P10,000.

“Halos tanan man nga nadakpan naton wala gid na may naga aku. Ila na ina alegasyon, lantawon ta sa korte kung paano nila ma-prove nga wala sila gagamit. Isa pa if mag-positive [in a drug test] dira gid naton mabal-an,” Gimeno added.

Gimeno added that Pillora’s supply allegedly came from alias “Yaku” of Dumagas, Iloilo, and they conduct transactions in Barangay Don Esteban, Lapuz.

The suspect is currently under the custody of Molo police and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
