ILOILO – A 19-year-old girl died. She and her boyfriend got into a motorcycle accident in Sitio Kamanawon, Barangay Passi, Igbaras, on Sunday morning, July 23.
Zinah Galang was declared “dead upon arrival” at the Guimbal District Hospital, while Emanuel Zalasar, also 19, is now in stable condition. Both were residents of Barangay San Isidro, Jaro, Iloilo City.
Police Staff Sergeant Alex Esteves of the Igbaras Municipal Police Station (MPS) told Panay News the area was accident-prone.
“Nabunggo ulo sang backrider sa bato kag nakaangkon sang pilas sa ulo… Ang karsada medyo basa kag down slope ang alagyan so siguro na-mismanaged niya ang manebela that’s why nag-swerve sila sa oposite lane then nag-overshoot sa kanal,” said Esteves.
Esteves also noted that Galang was only wearing a half-face helmet./PN
