ILOILO City – Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) director Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor yesterday ordered an investigation into the alleged illegal discharge of firearm involving a police officer in Jaro district on Saturday night.
Tasked to do the probe was Iloilo City police director Colonel Joeresty Coronica.
Police Staff Sergeant Nico Galvesolo, 38, of Block 5-B, Relocation Site, Barangay Buntatala, Jaro allegedly threatened four civilians.
He was named by Bryan Joshua Celiz, 19; Joel Zepeda, 20; Kevin Lee Jaboneta, 12; and alias “Jenel”, 16, all residents of Barangay Buntatala.
“We condemn this kind of act. We will make sure that this police will face the consequences of his actions. Asahan po ninyo na gagawin namin ang lahat ng nararapat para mapanagot si Police Staff Sergeant Galvesolo at para hindi na pamarisan ng iba,” Villaflor said.
He added: “If the evidence warrants, file the appropriate charges, both criminal and administrative.”/PN
