‘Tanod’, 2 high-value suspects yield P408K ‘shabu’

ILOILO City – Sixty grams of suspected shabu valued at around P408,000 were seized from a barangay tanod and two high-value drug suspects in Barangay Calumpang, Molo district.

Tanod Shiera Mae “May-May” Garcia, 37; Fritz June “Toto Fritz” Asilo, 38; and Jessan “Jessa” Asilo, 42, all residents of the aforementioned village’s Zone 6, were nabbed around 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15.

Police said Garcia was the main target. She handed over two sachets of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer in exchange for P10,000.

The Asilos, who were present during the operation, were also arrested. They were tagged as high-value drug suspects.

A total of 15 sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from the suspects by the officers of the Iloilo City Police Office – City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU) and Molo Police Station – Station Drugs Enforcement Team.

The suspects were detained at the Molo Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
