ILOILO – Shabu weighing 2,869.4278 grams and valued at P19,512,109 were seized across Western Visayas in July, data from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6 (PDEA-6) showed.
Authorities arrested 238 drug suspects: two in Aklan, one in Antique, 19 in Capiz, three in Guimaras, 33 in Iloilo Province, 60 in Iloilo City, 76 in Negros Occidental, and 44 in Bacolod City.
Of the 167 buy-busts, two were joint operations of the PDEA and the Philippine National Police (PNP), five were carried out by PDEA-6, and 160 were carried out by the PNP.
Negros Occidental had the most number of operations at 64, followed by Iloilo City with 35, Bacolod City with 27, Iloilo Province with 25, Capiz with 10, Guimaras with three, Aklan with two, and Antique with one./PN
