CAPIZ – Western Visayas’ No. 1 most wanted person charged with rape was arrested in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Maayon, Capiz on Saturday, Aug. 19.
The 21-year-old Jerecho Dogelio Derramas of Barangay Alayunan, Maayon was also the No. 4 most wanted person in the provincial level and the No. 1 in the municipal level.
The arrest warrant against Derramas was penned by Judge Eric Anthony A. Dumpilo of the Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 14 in Roxas City.
No bail bond was recommended.
The suspect is now detained at the Maayon Municipal Police Station.
“Nagpapasalamat po tayo sa mga masisigasig at dedikado nating mga operatiba. Sana ay ipagpatuloy po natin ang ating magandang layunin,” said Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor, Police Regional Office 6 director.
He added: “Sa atin pong mga mamamayan, tulong-tulong po tayo sa pagtugis sa mga may pananagutan sa batas para sa mas ligtas at tahimik na rehiyon.”/PN
