BACOLOD City – Police seized suspected shabu and a firearm with ammunition during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The 34-year-old Antonio Arevalo Jr. was apprehended at his house around 10:35 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 21.
Twelve sachets weighing more or less six grams of suspected shabu worth P40,800, a 12-gauge shotgun with two live rounds, P500 buy-bust money, and illegal drug paraphernalia were recovered.
The suspect, currently in the custody of the Kabankalan City Police Station, faces charges for violations of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Dangerous Acts of 2002) and RA 10591 (Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act)./PN
