BACOLOD City – An employee of the San Carlos City government in Negros Occidental was shot to death in the city’s Vasconia Road, Barangay Palampas on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 31.
The 63-year-old Antonio Abuyo, a resident of the said place, succumbed to gunshot wounds on his head and back.
San Carlos City police said the local rescue team brought the victim to the San Carlos City Hospital but was pronounced “dead on arrival” by attending physician Dr. Romeo Agraviador Jr.
The victim was driving his motorcycle at around 4:40 p.m. on his way home when he was waylaid and shot by an unidentified gunman, police said.
The gunman fled after the incident.
