GUIMARAS – The Sibunag Municipal Fire Station fire truck malfunctioned, causing it to tip over in Barangay Sebaste, Sibunag town around 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31.
The driver, treated for minor injuries, steered the truck towards a drainage on the roadside to prevent it from crashing against the houses.
According to Senior Fire Officer 3 Maria Jolyn Animas, acting municipal fire marshal, the truck was from their station and was conducting a fire truck visibility.
It was supposed to head to the repair shop for a checkup afterward, Animas said./PN
