NegOcc capitol OKs CNA for employees

BACOLOD City – Regular and casual employees may have another good holiday after the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental on Tuesday approved the new Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) between the provincial government and the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE).

PACE president Engr. Ruben Diamante said Resolution No. 1037 sets the new CNA for 2024 to 2026. The current one will expire this December.

The SP has given Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson the authority to sign the CNA with PACE, after which it will be submitted to the Civil Service Commission and the Bureau of Labor Relations of the Department of Labor and Employment.

A new provision was also pushed to be included in the CNA, wherein qualified employees can avail themselves of special leave privileges.

Around 2,270 regular and casual provincial government employees can avail of the P25,000 CNA incentive.

Diamante added that elected officials and department heads will also receive P25,000, expected to be released in December. (Watchmen Daily Journal)
