ROXAS City – Five persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at the Capiz Rehabilitation Center (CRC) in Barangay Lawaan tested positive in a recent drug test.

Provincial Jail Warden Arjuna Yngcong said that of the eight PDLs tested, all with drug-related cases, five were positive.

During “Oplan Galugad” on Sept. 21, three sachets of shabu were discovered in their detention cell.

“Those who tested negative were moved to separate cells,” Yngcong explained in a Radio Bandera Roxas interview. He added that the five positive individuals were placed in isolation cells.

Samples from the five PDLs have been forwarded to the Department of Health (DOH) in Manila for confirmatory testing.

In response, the CRC has bolstered its security protocols. As of the latest update, the facility has temporarily restricted the five PDLs from using mobile phones and receiving visitors./PN
