ROXAS City – Three suspects were arrested in an alleged drug den in Barangay Loctugan here around 12:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25.
The drug sting operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) led to the arrest of Mark “Tugi” Hicalde and couple Francis Ian Balgos and Catherine Tuazon.
Another main subject of the operation, suspect Jonathan Bilan who allegedly maintained the place, managed to escape.
PDEA-Capiz provincial officer Ma. Melinda Panaguiton said Hicalde and Bilan had been under monitoring for months.
More or less 30 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated market value of P204,000, and drug paraphernalia were recovered.
All the apprehended suspects will face charges under Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act./PN
