ILOILO City – A construction worker was injured in a shooting incident at a lodging house in Barangay Sto. Niño Norte, Arevalo district just after midnight yesterday.
The victim, identified only as 43-year-old “Joel”, was allegedly targeted four times by the suspect known by the alias “Tabi.”
Joel sustained a wound to his ear and a minor scratch on his eyebrow.
Preliminary police reports suggest that the two had a prior disagreement and were both drunk at the time of the incident.
Authorities have launched a hot pursuit operation to apprehend the suspect./PN
