KAPAMILYA host Vice Ganda responded to a fan who asked on X (formerly Twitter why “Gandang Gabi Vice” (GGV) has not returned to television.
The fan wrote: “What’s stopping ABS-CBN para ibalik ang GGV? Super entertaining ng GGV huhu.”
Vice then replied that he was actually approached by the management and asked if he wanted to do the show again.
He shared: “I was actually asked by the management when I signed my new contract if I wanted to do GGV again. I couldn’t do three shows anymore. Baka pagtapos ng ‘Everybody Sing’ let’s see kung keri ko na. Pero seasonal na lang. ‘Di ko na keri ‘yung another 10 years.”
Another fan then quipped: “Akala ko meme naubusan na kayo ng ige-guest.”
To which Vice responded: “Actually true to. Nagsawa na din ako sa paulit ulit na guests. Isa ‘yun sa mga rason kaya I decided to sign off. Pero ngayon mukhang mas malalim na ang balon ng guests kasi sanib pwersa na ang mga networks (hopefully).”
Another fan pointed out that doing GGV would actually be easier to shoot compared to “Everybody Sing.”
Vice then agreed, saying: “Sa totoo lang! And sa GGV nakaupo lang ako most of the time tapos tawa lang ng tawa. Nakakapagod ng malala ang ‘Everybody Sing’ pero it’s all worth it kasi ang objective ay ‘di lang entertainment kasama na din ang public service.”
The Unkabogable Star then expressed his gratitude to ABS-CBN and his fans for patronizing his shows.
“Super nakaka-happy na kahit ilang years ng ‘di umeere ang GGV bukambibig pa din ito ng madami. I’m so blessed to have three programs na kinakapitan talaga ng mga tao. ‘t’s Showtime’, GGV and ‘Everybody Sing.’ Thank you, ABS CBN,” he posted.
He highlighted that he was able to receive recognition, not only here in the Philippines but also abroad through the Kapamilya shows. (PUSH)
