KALIBO, Aklan – The Department of Education (DepEd)-Schools Division of Aklan will activate its barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan election Task Force (BSKE-TF) to ensure peace and order.
The task force will maintain an operation and monitoring center to document and report all teachers and school-related issues and concerns before and during elections. The BSKE-TF Operation and Monitoring Center will begin functioning at 1 p.m. on Oct. 29 and end at 5 p.m. on Oct. 30.
Public school teachers have been appointed to act as chairpersons and members of the Election Board, as well as technical support personnel, on the day of the polls on Oct. 30.
Aklan’s BSKE-TF comprises Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Feliciano Buenafe, Jr., as chairperson and Chief Education Supervisor Michael Rapiz as vice chairperson.
It shall also comprise Chief Education Supervisor Dr. Dobie Parohinog, Administrative Officer V Roland Democrito and Administrative Officer II Ma. Terry Gonzales as members.
BSKE-TF also ensures that teachers are provided with and/or referred to adequate information and technical and legal assistance and serves as DepEd’s institutional link to volunteer organizations and individuals.
It is also tasked with providing close horizontal and vertical coordination and consultation among DepEd, the Commission on Elections, and partner agencies./PN
